Chez Jean-Paul
Sleeps 6. 3 Bedrooms. 2 Bathrooms.
This house is located about a 6 minute walk from the village of Eygalières en Provence. The village of Eygalières is one of my favourites in this area with a number of stunning restaurants as well as bars, shops etc. Eygalieres is one of those villages that you just dream about - quintessentially Provencal, with bakeries, butchers, bars and pastis sipping locals!! The countryside surrounding this village is very appealing, and would be described as being typically "provencal" - cypresses, olive trees, lavender etc.! This is a great base for exploring the delights of Provence - the exciting town of St Remy de Provence is only 10 minutes away by car, and places such as Avignon, Arles, Les Baux de Provence, L’Isle sur la Sorgue, Fontaine de Vaucluse, Gordes, are an easy distance away.
This three bedroom house (115 sq m.) neighbours (connects to) the owner’s property, and from the terrace in front of the lounge you have peaceful and uninterrupted classic views towards the craggy Alpilles mountains. In the summer you are seduced by the smell of lavender and thyme, and the singing of the provencal cricket (la cigale), and are protected by the sun by one of the many olive trees. On very hot days there is also a northern terrace that is protected from the direct sun and is a pleasant spot to also sit for dinner. The outlook from this house is very beautiful. To the side of the house is a lovely 6 x 11m swimming pool (about 20m/30m away), with automatic safety cover and is equipped with deckchairs. Beside the swimming pool is the owner’s olive grove!
This house, which has been recently constructed, is well equipped. It has 3 bedrooms (two large double bedrooms (queen beds) and one twin bedded room) & 2 bathrooms with showers (one is ensuite with the main bedroom); one double room and bathroom are downstairs and the other double room with ensuite bathroom and twin room are upstairs. The kitchen is equipped with a combination oven/microwave. In the simply decorated lounge there is a settee and two armchairs, along with a dining table with 6 chairs. In the lounge there is a TV/DVD. The terrace is equipped with an outdoor table and seating for 6 pers, and a barbecue. With 300 sunny days a year, you will live on this terrace or by the pool!
The owner is an official tourist guide, and living next door is well located to assist you with your touring plans. The owners are charming people and they will ensure you have a great stay!
