This tour will have you exploring two of the most well known wine regions in the world
The Cote de Nuits, from Chenove to Corgoloin, that produces powerful red wines The Cote de Beaune, from Aloxe Corton to Santenay, which is renowned for its delicate red wines and its powerful flavoured white wines
Since the 3rd century B.C., vines have grown here in Burgundy to produce some of the most famous vintages of all. This walk will allow you the chance to walk through these grand cru and premier cru vineyards, and learn more about this wonderful wine and history at the same time!
DAY ONE: Your arrival in Dijon. Explore this town. |
DAY TWO: DIJON – GEVREY-CHAMBERTIN (12 km). The day starts by making your own discoveries of Dijon. Transfer by taxi to Marsannay la Cote, then on foot to Gevrey-Chambertin passing through the lovely villages of Couchey, Fixey, Fixin and Brochon villages. Bed and breakfast in a three-star hotel |
DAY THREE: GEVREY-CHAMBERTIN – NUIT ST GEORGES (16 km) through Mont Charmot, Morey St Denis, Chambolle, Musigny, Clos Vougeot and Vosne-Romanee. |
DAY FOUR: NUIT ST GEORGES – BEAUNE (17 km) through the Hautes Cotes de Nuits vineyards and the villages Chaux, Villers la Faye, Magny les Villers, Pernand-Vergelesse, Aloxe Corton, Chorey les Beaune. Bed and breakfast in a three-star hotel in the lovely town of Beaune - the prettiest town in France! |
DAY FIVE: Today you will spend the day exploring this wonderful town, including the beautiful Hotel de Dieu. Many opportunities for wine tasting etc. in the town. Bed and breakfast in same Beaune hotel. |
DAY SIX: BEAUNE – MEURSAULT (15 km). Today you continue on foot towards Meursault passing through by Pommard, Volnay, Monthelie and Auxey-Duresses. Bed and breakfast in a three-star hotel in Meursault. |
DAY SEVEN: MEURSAULT – PULIGNY MONTRACHET (15 km) via Blagny, Gamay, the impressive Chateau de Rochepot, the Croix de l’Ormeau, St Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet. Dinner, bed and breakfast in a three-star hotel in Puligny. |
DAY EIGHT: PULIGNY MONTRACHET. Transfer by taxi to the Beaune station after breakfast. End of the tour. |
