Au Bord de la Riviere

This is an old house that has been completely renovated and refurbished retaining many of its original features but incorpoating all modern conveniences. In the village of Allès there are no shops - but there is a church!

Sleeps 5. 3 Bedrooms. 1.5 bathrooms! This wonderful house is located in the delightful medieval village of Caromb. It is situated about 40 minutes from Avignon and is only a short distance from Carpentras. From here you are ideally positioned for exploring Provence - most sights are all within about 30 kilometres, such as Vaison la Romaine, Orange, Chateauneuf du Pape, Avignon, L'Isle sur la Sorgue, Fontaine de Vaucluse, Gordes etc. The village of Caromb has many small shops (4 bakeries), a pharmacy and two restaurants. A market is held every Tuesday morning.

Sleeps 10. Five Bedrooms. Three Bathrooms. This is an exceptional home located only a few minutes' walk out fo the village of Malaucene, being some 45 minutes to the north east of Avignon. The house is set in a large garden with a most attractive swimming pool and outdoor living area. On the ground floor is an attractive lounge, dining room and kitchen plus a large double bedroom (ensuite) plus laundry. Upstairs is a large bedroom with ensuite bathroom and dressing room. As well there are three further bedrooms (double, twin and large single) which share the third bathroom. To stay here is a special stay. Touring from here is especially ideal for exploring Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles Mountains with towns such as Carpentras, Vaison la Romaine, Sablet and Gigondas being so close. A wonderful address for a summer holiday.

Sleeps 6. 3 Bedrooms. 2 Bathrooms. This house is located about a 6 minute walk from the village of Eygalières en Provence. The village of Eygalières is one of my favourites in this area with a number of stunning restaurants as well as bars, shops etc. Eygalieres is one of those villages that you just dream about - quintessentially Provencal, with bakeries, butchers, bars and pastis sipping locals!! The countryside surrounding this village is very appealing, and would be described as being typically "provencal" - cypresses, olive trees, lavender etc.! This is a great base for exploring the delights of Provence - the exciting town of St Remy de Provence is only 10 minutes away by car, and places such as Avignon, Arles, Les Baux de Provence, L’Isle sur la Sorgue, Fontaine de Vaucluse, Gordes, are an easy distance away.
Chez Madeleine
The village of Caromb is wonderful, being so local. It is the central local hub for this corner of Vaucluse and has the quintessential Provence look that visitors searche for; plane trees around the village square with bars and restaurants sheltered by the same trees in the summer. It is ideally located only 5/10 minutes drive from the town of Carpentras, which itself is only about 35 minutes away from Avignon. Being in Caromb you are well located for exploring the region. Places like Chateauneuf du Pape, Isle sur la Sorgue (antique market!), Gordes, Avignon etc. are only about 30 minutes away. You are especially close to the wines of Beaumes de Venise and the Rhone Valley wines of Gigondas and Vacqueyras.

Sleeps 8. Four Bedrooms, Three bathrooms. This large villa is one of two villas located on a large property with enclosed garden and security access. Very close to the centre of Saint Remy de Provence, at the end of a private road, you enter the property through a large electric gate giving access to the two quite separate villas. This recently built and tastefully decorated villa accommodates up to 10 people. To stay here is a treat!
Sablet Cottage
Sleeps 2. 1 Bedroom This is an air conditioned apartment set in the grounds of La Saugie, a 200 year old stone house, in the wine making village of Sablet in the heart of Provence. A perfect stay for a couple. The apartment is located in the large grounds (2 acres) of the owners who live metres away in their large house. You have access to the large swimming pool, which is shared with the owners. Upstairs there is a lovely airconditioned bedroom (queen bed) with an ensuite bathroom with 2 basins and WC. A most attractive fully equipped kitchen with eating area and lounge opening outside on to teh swimming pool area. Outdoor furniture, BBQ, Wifi. Not overlooked! There is a five minute walk to the centre of Sablet which has shops, markets and restaurants. There is a flexibility on start dates of rental depending on availabilities. Non smoking.
Flots Bleus
Sleeps 4. 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom. 2 WC. When I first saw this apartment I made a commitment that I would come back here with my wife for one month minimum stay. This light and airy two bedroom apartment is located close (50m) to the Villefranche sur Mer beach and from its top floor setting offers magnificent views across the harbour to Cap Ferrat from the apartment’s balcony. There is lift access to the apartment in this relatively newly constructed apartment building (‘60s), and as well as being close to the nearby train station is a few minutes walk from the shops and bars, restaurants of the village. It is a 2 minute walk to the beach, making it ideal for a pre-breakfast swim! Being located here you are so close to such wonderful places such as Cannes, Antibes, Nice (7km away), Monaco, Menton being a short distance away, by train or car.

Sleeps 2. Compact! This is an extraordinary studio apartment for a couple. How much space do you really need for living? This apartment would only be just over 20 sq metres - that includes shower room, WC, double bed, Kitchen, table and chairs and a settee! But despite its size what it offers you is a huge experience. The apartment is about 50 metres from the sandy beach of Villefranche sur Mer, on the second level of an apartment building. From this apartment you have a spectacular view straight across and down the bay of Villefranche sur Mer - your view is water and boats of every size.

Sleeps 4. Two Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms Perfection on the Riviera, by the Beach! enjoys a commanding position on the bay. Located on the waterfront quai of Villefranche, just at the entrance of the beach, it has a privileged position in Villefranche. It is south facing and receives sun all day long, winter and summer. It is a very bright and sunny apartment — so much so that you can wear your sunglasses all the time. The Old Town is just steps away so shops and restaurants are a very short walk away — less than 5 minutes. The beach is below you and one of the best places in the world to swim and when you don’t want to swim, the walk along the 800-meter long beach is stunning.
Caromb Country
Sleeps 8. Four ensuite Bedrooms. This Mas (large farmhouse) on the edge of the medieval village of Caromb is set amongst an olive grove on one side and a cherry orchard on the other!! The owners describe it as their piece of Paradise, and I completely agree with them!! This property is fairly unique in that you have privacy and tranquility, yet are about three minutes from the village walls, and a bit further on to the centre of the village. The house is located close to Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail, yet ideally located for exploring the Rhone Valley and Vaucluse. The village of Caromb is 25km to the north east of Avignon. Most of the major sites and vineyards are all within 30km of this house.

Only approx 350 paces from the inviting beach of Villefranche sur Mer, this elegant little apartment benefits from stunning views over the bay and all day sun on the balcony. It is a pleasant five minute walk to the old town with its variety of shops, restaurants and other amenities. The modern double decker train can whisk you into Nice in only seven minutes and onwards to Antibes and Cannes to the West, - or Beaulieu, Monte Carlo and Italy to the East, if you feel like exploring. This one bedroom apartment gives you the ideal location to base your holidays from. From here you have superb access to the Riviera coastline, but also there are some breath-taking walks to be had around the coastline of Cap Ferrat and even the coastline heading to Nice. I can't think of anything nicer than staying here for a holiday!

It is positioned one block back from the waterfront, yet with sensational harbour views over the picturesque bay of Villefranche. From the apartment it is only about 2/300 metres to the sandy beach at the end of the bay.
L'Abbaye
Sleeps 6 , 3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms A charming old stone house, located in the historic village of Paunat with its imposing Abbey dating back more than 1,000 years. Despite being in the village, the property has a good sized garden with a lovely old stone retaining wall and a private un-overlooked pool. The pool is protected by an alarm and a fence. Alongside the pool is a separate pool house with WC and shower. In the summer months the village is lucky enough to boast its own weekly night market where, in a friendly family atmosphere, local dishes are prepared in front of you on the various market stalls with music and entertainment being provided. The village also has its own wonderful restaurant with local produce and bread open from 10am onwards.
Chez Patrick
Here is a special address just to the south of Tours in the Loire Valley, situated close to the delightful town of Azay le Rideau. This cottage has been "built" in an 18th century barn which used to be used by the French Resistance during the 2nd World War, and has been recently fully restored. The property is located on a farm, and the owners who also live on the property in another house, chose this place for its serenity - a place that is hard to leave! There’s even a fishing lake! The owners have now decided to spend their retirement years here!
Dordogne Bliss
Sleeps 6. 3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms The small village of Limeuil with its steep picturesque streets, well deserves its title as one of "Les Beaux Villages" of France. The houses with their ornate doorways and the walls with fortified gateways all indicate the historical importance of the village situated as it is at the confluence of the Dordogne and Vezere rivers - this was where the last battle of the One Hundred Year War was fought! This house is wonderfully located for exploring the Périgord Noir with all its historical treasures.
Les Vignes
Sleeps 4. 2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms. Set high up in the heart of the vineyards around Bergerac, close to the villages of Gageac-et-Rouillac and Saussignac, is this charming cottage with uninterrupted views right across the countryside. This house for four people offers a wonderful location for exploring the vines and wines of Bergerac, St Emilion, and even Sauternes to the south, yet still being close to Bordeaux and the history of the Dordogne Valley.
Farmhouse
The Farmhouse is situated in the peaceful hamlet of Ecorsaint (approx 45 minutes west of Dijon) in the heart of the burgundian countryside. There are no shops or cafes in the hamlet but both are just a 10 minute drive away. The Farmhouse comfortably sleeps 4 although is also ideal for 2.
Flavigny
This home is situated in the hamlet of Ecorsaint, near the lovely Burgundian village of Flavigny sur Ozeraine. This location is perfect for touring the highlights of this region; the magnificent Abbaye de Fontenay, the Chateau and Gardens of Commarin, the Basilica of Vezelay, the beauty of Semur en Auxois, the history of Alise Ste Reine, and a 40 minute drive to the east to Dijon and Beaune.

Sleeps 4. Two bedrooms (double). Two bathrooms (showers), Two WCs. This is a gem of an apartment offering you the perfect base for a seaside Riviera holiday by the beach in Villefranche sur Mer. A good sized master-bedroom with a bathroom (shower) just off it. The second bedroom has another double bed in it, although the room is a little “tighter” than the main bedroom.

From the large balcony you can sit at a table or in an outdoor lounge setting to marvel at the view before you – looking straight down over the beach of Villefranche. The old “pedestrianised” town of Villefranche is only a five minute walk away – one of the loveliest walks in the world! It has two large bedrooms, one double and one with two beds. Each bedroom has an ensuite shower room. The kitchen off the lounge is well equipped and has a small balcony off it.
