This is an extraordinary studio apartment for a couple. How much space do you really need for living? This apartment would only be just over 20 sq metres - that includes shower room, WC, double bed, Kitchen, table and chairs and a settee! But despite its size what it offers you is a huge experience. The apartment is about 50 metres from the sandy beach of Villefranche sur Mer, on the second level of an apartment building. From this apartment you have a spectacular view straight across and down the bay of Villefranche sur Mer - your view is water and boats of every size.
When you enter the apartment you see out the large windows, which open on to your terrace, giving you an uncluttered view of the bay. On your right is the double bed which folds vertically up out of its way. On the left is the kitchen corner with a small cooker/griller machine, two elements and small sink. There is even a dresser which as well as holding cleverly some kitchen platters etc, also houses the television. On one side of the room is a collection of cupboards and drawers. When my wife and I stay here we unpack our clothes into the cupboards and draws and then pack our suitcases away to ensure we maximise the space.
The small shower room is extremely well finished in marble with a modern bathroom sink, and WC.
Outside the main door is a small cupboard which houses a washing machine.
The train station is one minutes walk away, and being so close to the station you barely can hear the trains at all. The train runs regularly from here to either Ventimiglia (Italy) including stops at Monte Carlo and Menton, or towards Cannes with stops in Nice, Antibes etc.
There is a small supermarket a few minutes away in the village of Villefranche, and of course you have a large selection of restaurants within minutes on foot from your apartment.
I long to go back here during the summer. We start every morning with a swim from the beach before breakfast, and end the day the same way! For those who are active there are also some wonderful walks from here around the Cap Ferrat peninsular.
The apartment has airconditioning and Wifi. There is a 80 euro cleaning fee payable on your arrival.
